Asahi x Dark Mofo

Whilst working at Tiger Pistol, we were tasked with envisaging and creating a set of assets to build hype and anticipation around the annual Dark Mofo festival in partnership with Asahi. These assets were served across Facebook, Instagram and Youtube as bumper ads.

Bridging the gap between existing footage and festival branding, along with Asahi’s identity, was challenging and fun. I ended up exploring motifs drawn from Paganism, totems and charms, and worship of the Occult. With snappy transitions viewed through Dark Mofo’s sinister red and black filter, I was able to get it to a place where the flow from branding to footage was pretty seamless. The audio mix was good fun too!
